iI your pet has historically had an iron stomach and is unphased by food changes, you can try the cold turkey method, switching them in 1 day. This is entirely dependent on how your pet handles food changes.
-
If your pet doesn't experience any digestion issues when fed both raw and kibble, there's no reason why you can't incorporate both into their diet. While it's true that the digestion process differs between kibble and raw food, and some argue against combining the two, there are numerous success stories, including ones we've personally witnessed, where pets thrive on a combination of both. Remember, even incorporating some fresh food into your pet's diet can be beneficial!
-
Puppies can start a raw diet as soon as they are weaned from their mother! It's crucial to ensure that the food you're giving them is complete and balanced during their growth period.
If you choose to feed our Prey Model Ratio (PMR) blends to your puppy, it's important to conduct thorough research and supplement accordingly to ensure the food meets all their nutritional needs.
Alternatively, you can opt for our puppy-specific complete and balanced formulas, which contain all the essential vitamins and minerals necessary for your puppy's optimal growth and development.

If in the past you have noticed your pet has had a sensitive stomach when switching foods, it’s best to use a slow transition with any new food. We recommend:
- Mix 75% of your pet’s current food with 25% of our food (new food) for a few days until you are sure your pet’s stomach has adjusted to the new introduction.
- Increase to a 50/50 mix of new/old food for a few days, until your pet’s stomach has adjusted.
- Finally increase to 75% new and 25% old for a few days.
- Once your pet seems to have adjusted well with each increase, you can then try 100% of the new food.
-
The amount you feed your dog varies depending on their life stage, activity level, and the specific product you're using.
For PMR blends, we suggest beginning with 2-3% of your adult dog's body weight in food per day. Keep an eye on your dog's weight and adjust as needed.

Orders, Shipping, & Delivery
-
We ship all frozen products in an insulated box with an appropriate amount of coolant based on the amount of perishable product in the box.
We ship in 50 pound increments to ensure you receive the best shipping rates possible. All orders are shipped frozen weekly via UPS ground shipping (unless you choose otherwise).
-
We ship all of our products to the 48 Continental United States via UPS ground shipping. Due to a number of factors, we are currently unable to ship to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico.
West Coast US Customers – We strongly urge that you choose either express shipping or two-day ship to ensure that your products are delivered intact and still frozen. This is of particular importance during the summer months.
We have a strict 15 lb. minimum weight requirement for shipping due to a variety of reasons:
- UPS rates are the same for a package under 15 lbs as it is for a package at 15 lbs.
- Anything under 15 lbs will not remain frozen during transit due to the significant amount of additional space left in the box.
-
While rare, there have been times where a package is mishandled by the shipping carrier, and is delivered damaged. If this happens to your package, you must take pictures of the damaged package and Contact Us within 24 hours of receiving the package.
-
Occasionally, for reasons outside of our control, packages may be delayed during transit. The majority of time, these delays only occur for 24 hours. If this is the case, rest assured your order will be safe due to the coolant we put in your package.
If you see your package has been delayed, we ask that you first contact UPS at 1 (800) 742-5877. You can then loop us in on the Contact Page.
-
To optimize shipping costs, it's recommended to order a full box of 50 lbs of food, supplements, and treats, as this will secure the best shipping rate.
If your order exceeds 50 lbs, a second box will automatically be started to avoid heavy box fees imposed by the shipping carrier.
We offer subscription options for weekly, bi-weekly, tri-weekly, and monthly deliveries to ensure you receive the best shipping rate and keep your pet's favorites in stock.
-
We ship on Mondays and Tuesdays via UPS ground, unless chosen otherwise.
An order must be placed by Wednesday at midnight for shipment the immediately following Monday or Tuesday.
We are still a very small business and we try to turnaround orders as quickly as possible, but if we already have everything sold/shipping for that week, we may have to ship the following week. If this is the case we will reach out and communicate with you as soon as possible and will reserve your spot for the following week.
One way to avoid a delay in shipping is to sign up for our recurring subscriptions. You can change or cancel your subscription at any time, but this will ensure we have your spot saved for shipping the week after your subscription renewal occurs. This prevents you from potentially running out of food for your beloved pets!
